Whats In My Makeup Bag?!?!?

Since I haven't written a post in a little while I thought I would talk about whats in my makeup bag! Firstly my makeup bag is from Zoella's collection which I brought for £8 at Superdrug. Its the perfect size to put all your favourite beauty items inside and is great for travelling. It has a lot of room inside and the shape is perfect for my essentials, and not to mention the pattern is extremely pretty.

So lets dive in and take a look inside my bag.

The first thing I pull out is my Soap and Glory Super Tonic in the scent Orangeasm, which I received for christmas. The bottle is quite a large size so takes up a large amount of space inside my bag but its worth it! The scent is so fresh and fruity and the smallest amount goes a long way, the fragrance lasts all day and leaves you smelling gorgeous!

Along with the Super Tonic I pulled out 5 other products. I recently purchased the new Rita Ora Rimmel nail polishes and my favourite shade has to be Rain Rain Go Away, its a perfect subtle colour and since I've painted my nails that colour Its in my makeup bag incase I ever need to top it up. At £2.99 a bottle they are a real steal and I highly recommend them!
I always take two makeup brushes with me wherever I go, these tend to be the Real Techniques Powder Brush ( £9.99 ) and my Primark double ended eyeshadow brush ( £1.00 ).  These are the brushes I use the most so I always have them by my side incase I need to touch up my makeup or change my look. My Mac Studio Fix (£21.50)  in the shade NW20 is also in my bag for that reason, just incase I need to touch my makeup up, I love this product so much and am so happy I discovered it! It leaves my face feeling so soft and you can really see a difference.
Since I have combination skin I tend to get oily patches on my nose and other areas on my face so I decided to try the Garnier Moisture Matte Moisturiser for £1.99 (it was on sale at ASDA) and I'm so glad I found it! Ever since I have used it my face feels so much fresher and really helps with my oily patches, if you have Combination skin I would highly recommend it!

I always like to carry a primer and foundation with me everywhere, I recently discovered the New Loreal Infallible Matte Foundation and Primer (£7.99 each) and have fallen in love. As a fan of the original Infallible Foundation I was naturally drawn to this and it didn't disappoint. The payoff and texture is outstanding and you can really see the difference, although it is a matte foundation it isn't too mattifying and doesn't dry your face out, seriously loving this product!
Maybelline as a drugstore brand offers some of the best value for money products especially when it comes to Mascara so theirs tends to be the one you will find in my bag. Their Lash Sensational Mascara (£5.99) is by far my favourite and is the mascara I tend to reach for the most. The brush has a slight curve to match that of someones eyes and the formula really works well and creates defined lashes, its a seriously good product and perfect if your on a budget!
Mac does some amazing blushes and bronzers but my go to makeup bag essential is the limited edition Rihanna Hibiscus Kiss ( I love it so much I've hit pan!). This goes wherever I go and is always in my makeup bag.

Although I have a huge passion and love for lipsticks I only carry a few with me and they usually depend on my outfit or make up that day. In my makeup bag at the moment I have MAC Honey-Love (£15.50), Charlotte Tilbury's Velvet Underground (£23.00) and Urban Decay Naked Lipgloss in the shade Naked. These all offer different textures and colour payoffs but are all brilliant. My favourite has to be Velvet Underground, it offers such a vivid colour and lasts all day and is an essential to any makeup collection.

To go along with my lipsticks I carry a lip liner and lip primer, at the moment its my Topshop Lip Primer (£9.50)  and my Mac Boldly Bare Lip Liner (£12.50). The primer really hydrates my lips and keeps them that way all day which is what you would want from a  primer, it also keeps the product intact and doesn't chap my lips. Mac's lip liners are brilliant! they pack on a lot of colour and are great for keeping your chosen lipstick in place without them bleeding through, they offer so many different colours and are always a must have in my bag!

The last item in my makeup bag is my Urban Decay Naked Basics 1&2 Palettes (£22.00) . I love the shades in these palettes and they are effect travel size, they are great if you want to create a subtle look or a smokey eye and I love having them with me wherever I go. Both of them offer different shade ranges and textures whether its matte or shimmer and each is as beautiful as the next, if you haven't checked them out yet then do it!
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing what items are in my makeup bag and you may have discovered some new products to try! Leave me some comments below about what you would like to see me post next, until then xoxo

Makeup Palette of the month!

Hello Everyone! Ive decided to do a segment on my blog named 'Palette of the month' I thought it would be good to feedback to you what palette i am loving each month, whether it be for price, colour payoff etc. So here we go my first palette of the month is..... THE DOLCE VITA by Charlotte Tilbury!

Now if you follow me on Instagram you know how much I have used and love this palette! Although I've had it for a while recently I've been using it non stop. At £38 it is a higher end product but don't let the price deter you its amazing. The palette itself has 4 shades which aren't named but are labeled at what part of the eyeshadow process they should be used, so there is Prime, Enhance, Pop and Smoke.

Now lets take a minute to admire the colours themselves, they are beyond beautiful the bottom left shade is a shimmer which is compact full of colour and glitter, but when transferred onto the eyes there is minimal to no fallout. the other three are just as amazing and when using your brush the littlest amount packs the upmost amount of colour!. In general Charlotte Tilburys entire collection is beyond brilliant, although the prices are a little steep they are worth every penny the quality is beyond any other makeup brand I have tried and is something to be admired.

MUJI Storage: A Little Look Into My Desktop Storage

"To me, beauty and makeup and color is like the finishing touch on everything." Marc Jacobs

I decided to do a post showing how I store some of my make up. Before purchasing my storage I watched a few youtube videos and looked at a few blogs and found it vastly helpful so thought I would show a fraction of mine.

Although I do have a dressing table I like to have a few of my favourite things onto of my dresser to make it easily accessible to me when I need to do a quick beauty look. Ive heard so many great things about MUJI and their products which have been recommended time and time again so I decided to take the plunge and purchase one! I got the 5 Drawer Acrylic Organiser which was £25 ( I will post a link to the website at the bottom of the page), I went for this one because I felt it had the right amount of space and height to fit in the products that I wanted to place inside it. I was surprised at how heavy it actually was and feel that this product will last a long time due to the thickness and weight it has ( which is always a bonus!).

The length of the box was PERFECT to put my lipstick holders which I keep my MAC lipsticks in, which was perfect because I had been moving them around my dresser for ages trying to find the perfect place for them.

In the top drawer I decided to place my most recent purchases so in here at the moment I have: Naked Basics 2, Nakes Basics 1, Charlotte Tilbury Quads in The Vintage Vamp & The Dolce Vita, The Grind House Sharpener by Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury Sharpener, Viva Glam Miley Cyrus, Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks in the shades: Love Liberty, So Marilyn & Velvet Underground, Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Pencil in Amethyst and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat

In the second drawer I decided to keep a few things that I couldn't find another place for them to go I have; 2 Mac Quads in various shades such as Coppering and Amber Lights, Naked Flushed Native, MAC Archie Collection Blush, Nars Laguna and Orgasim double pan and Benefit Boi-ing Concealer.

In the third drawer I keep my eyeshadow pots and sticks which I tend to grab on a daily basis I have; 2 Nars Eyeshadow pots, Maybelline colour tattoo pots in various shades such as On and On Bronze, 2 Topshop Grunge sticks in violet and green, 2 MAC Eyeshadows, 2 KIKO lipgloss pencils, Urban Decay Eyeliner pot, Rimmel Scandel-eyes pencil and an Urban Decay Eyeliner.

In the fourth and penultimate drawer I decided to keep a few Eyebrow products and most of my Eye Primers, Mascaras and Eyeliners, these are; Soap and Glory its Prime Time, Maybelline Lash Sensational, Loreal Manga Lashes, Urban Decay Pervasion Mascara and 2 Perversion Primers, Kat Von D Mascara, Mini They're Real by Benefit, Lime Crime Milk Eyeliner, Kat Von D eyeliner, 2 Benefit Push up Liners and Rimmel Brow This Way.

In the final drawer of my MUJI Box I have put some lip glosses and a few liquid lipsticks these are; Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks in Jeffree and BAUHAU5, MUA Liquid Lipsticks, Lime Crime Carousal Lipgloss in Present, 2 MAC Lipglosses, VIVA Glam Rihanna Lipgloss, 2 Soap and Glory Lipgloss Pencils, Rimmel Lipgloss Pencil and 2 Urban Decay Naked Lipglosses.

I haven't gone into too much detail about the products but in the next post I will be going through some of my makeup favourites which include products I've listed above. If you would like to see any watched of certain products or reviews on anything then just comment below! I will also link below the MUJI drawers which I purchased incase you wanted to get yourself one or have a browse at the other boxes they do! xoxo

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Review

Ive wanted to try Charlotte Tilbury's range of make up for a while now, so when I took a trip to London with my mother I thought it was the perfect opportunity to pop into Selfridges and take a look at her make up line. At the higher end of the price spectrum at £ 23 a lipstick I wanted to see the product before taking the plunge and buying.

I have to say that the team at the Selfridges beauty hall were amazing! they talked me through all the different products and even offered to show me tutorials they were brilliant! I came away with 3 lipsticks, 2 from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range and a Matte Revolution shade.

The first lipstick I picked up was from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range and is called 'So Marilyn'. The colour is a very rich red and is named after the screen goddess Marilyn Monroe. The texture is quite creamy but isn't too overpowering and  really adds a pop of colour to your lips. When I was looking at the collection I was instantly drawn to this because of how vivd the colour is and just how great the payoff was. I think its very hard to find a rich red lipstick which doesn't bleed or need a lipliner but I feel like this is a clear winner!

The second lipstick I picked up was also from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G and is called 'Velvet Underground'. This was one of their newer shades and once I swatched it I knew I had to have it, the colour in the tube looks like a vibrant pink, but once on your lips it isn't too bright. The colour itself reminds me a lot of the MAC 'Viva Glam Miley' but overall I feel this is a better lipstick. The texture was so beautiful and when you apply the lipstick it glides across your lips. Although the texture is quite creamy it doesn't bleed or come off too much when you are eating or drinking.

The final lipstick I purchased was from the Matte Revolution range and is called 'Love Liberty'. When I was looking online I was adamant I was going to purchase Glastonberry from the same range but when I swatched the lipsticks this was by far the one that stood out to me most. The colour itself is a muted purple/pink with a brown tone. Its a colour I haven't seen before by another brand and new I had to have it. The formula of the matte lipsticks are like nothing I have seen before. The consistency is perfect and means your not dragging the lipstick across your lips but literally gliding it across. The colour payoff is fantastic and stays on all day without any need to retouch! Out of the three this was by far the best one I used and I will be rushing to purchase more in this range  xoxo
