Jeffree Star Cosmetics Product Review! Part 1

So if you don't know who Jeffree Star is he was first known from his myspace days where he played around with makeup and had some music hits! He grew popularity pretty fast for his awesome makeup looks and don't give a shit attitude!

Now in more recent years he has released his own makeup brand which started with just 3 liquid lipsticks and has since expanded to a beauty empire! His products are so popular they sell out in minutes and the resale prices on depop and eBay are in the double digits! CRAY CRAY

I've been fortunate enough to nab pretty much everything except for 2 discontinued lipsticks * CRIES* and I have to say the products are really worth the hype! And to top it off they are Vegan and cruelty free Woo!

The liquid lipsticks are by far my favourite product he has brought out! Retailing at around $18 or £14 in the UK this product has really changed the lipstick game, offering long lasting finishes with a spectacular array or colours! I mean a White lipstick, who would have thought it ey?!
Some of the newer shades have a slight smell to them which is Root Beer and isn't too overpowering which is nice! I have to say though I'm pretty sure the formula has changed slightly for the newer lipsticks because I find these aren't as drying and don't dry as fast, but it could just be me! Now as you all know by now I'm a sucker for packaging and these oh boy do they just feed that habit! The tops of these lipsticks has his logo all over and size wise these are perfect to pop into your makeup bag or even a clutch on a night out.

Now I do have 4 absolute favourites and these are L-R Abused, Scorpio, Dirty Money and the newly released Rich Blood. I love these 4 the most because they are such different colours and they all look so amazing on! I find they add a great finish to a statement look and leave you looking fierce!

Jeffree Star Cosmetics also has a line of lip scrubs which I was slightly hesitant about purchasing because I love my lush ones and honestly thought nothing could compare to them..well...hold your horses because seriously these are AMAZING like really. The scents aren't too overpowering and they really do work. But best of all the amount of product you get is outstanding! Over double the amount of a normal lush one and at £9 a pop I don't think thats too bad at all.

Overall I really feel that Jeffree has really stepped up the makeup game with these products and Im seriously excited to see what he has next in store for us! Now he does currently have some face products which I will be reviewing soon but I have to say I can honestly see why everything he brings out is like gold dust and just sells out instantly!

If you want to purchase any of Jeffrees products you can get them from these sites;

Until Next Time Lovelys!

New Look New Me

Put Your best Face Forward- Tarte Cosmetics Review

A few weeks ago I was watching QVC when a segment on Tarte Cosmetics came up. I had played around with this brand when I was in America at my local Sephora, but hadn't owned anything by them and had no idea you could get their products in the UK, so I was instantly intrigued!
If you don't who/what Tarte Cosmetics are they are a cosmetics brand who are committed to delivering real results for real woman, the eco -chic, the best friend etc. Tate cosmetics range is cruelty-free and infused with super fruits, plant extracts, essential oils and other naturally- derived ingredients. Amazonian clay plays a big part in all their products and are all hand sourced for this makeup range. At first glance a few years prior I didnt really believe everything the brand was trying to sell...boy was I wrong! I watched the segment on QVC and the application of each product and have to say I was blown away! Lets just say I ended up ordering more than a few things! Here are  the I items I picked up and my first impressions on them.
The Tartlette Palette is one that I have had my eye on for a while and when I saw it for just £28.00! I knew I had to have it. All the shades are neutral tones and are named after different types of woman or as they like to call them Tartelettes ( hence the palette name), such as Free Spirit and Super Mom. The shades are all matte and are fused with amazonian clay to give them this really smooth texture. The payoff is amazing and the smallest amount manages to cover the entire lid. Im so impressed with this palette. The whole consistency, colour payoff and colour range is something I love, and wouldn't hesitate getting another palette from Tarte. The deal on QVC also included a brush which is double ended, one side for blending and the other is for applying the product. I really like this and bristles are honestly the softest I have ever felt on a brush!!
I also purchased the special value of the day which was the Tarte 6 Piece Best Face Forward Make-Up Collection & BagOne of the products was this Coloured Clay CC Primer Stick in the shade Fair. I really liked this its pretty full coverage and I only used it on a few areas of my face because I felt it was really thick but it did the job and lasted all day without moving the foundation etc. The colour really suited my skin type too and matched it almost perfectly. This is going to be something I will be reaching for more often!

This really caught my eye and was something I had heard alot about. The Lights Camera Lashes Mascara  is a 4 in 1lengthening, curling, volumising and conditioning. When I used this I was in shock, it completely thickened my lashes and lengthened them so much without any clumping. I am so impressed and this was by far my favourite product I picked up! I found the packaging a tad strange but other than that it was amazing and something I will keep repurchasing!
The set came with the Lipsurgence in the shade Vintage. I found the texture very nourishing and the colour was very nice but I didn't find anything that made it any different to any other product I have seen so wasn't too impressed with this product and probably wouldn't repurchase this product.
The set also included a Coloured Clay Bronzer Blush with colour correcting. I love the way it adds a flush of colour and isn't too heavy or deep in colour. Also included was a  Amazonian clay eyeshadow quad in a brightly packaged box. The colours are all daily wearable and each one packs so much product onto the lid it lasts all day! I have a feeling that Tarte eyeshadows are going to be a big thing for me in the future!
I love the fact that with each Tarte product you but on QVC they give you the brush that accompanies the product! Not many companies do this and this was one of the reasons I was so excited to purchase some goodies from them! The brushes are seriously the softest I have felt in a long time and even after use the bristles remain in place with no signs of falling out or misplacement. With the set came a double-ended complexion brush which included a striped pattern on the handle which is something that flows through the entire 6 piece collection.

Well I hope you enjoyed this post! If you have any questions on the products or want more specifics just comment below! I also want to apologise for some of my posts being late I've just been super busy with other things! I will get back to regular posting straight away!

Skincare Routine

"In polite society a well maintained skincare routine is one of life's great successes" Violet Grey

Hello Everybody! Todays post is going to focus on my skincare/makeup routine and the products I use to get my face feeling clean and fresh before applying my makeup.

1) After washing my face with cold water I use the soap and glory sugar scrub to get rid of dry skin especially around my cheek area. I only use this up to two times a week so that my skin has a rest and doesn't get irritated.

2) After washing off the excess product from my face, I dry with a towel and leave for around 5 minutes before applying my moisturiser. Recently I have been using the Garnier Matte Moisturiser since I have combination skin, it works really well and leaves my face feeling soft all day! It doesn't feel heavy or slide throughout the day underneath my makeup and has really been improving my skin since I started using it. If I don't use the Garnier Moisturiser I tend to use Soap and Glory's Orangeasim lotion which works just as well.

3) Once I have applied my moisturiser I use the Benefit Puff Off under my eyes, this has really been helping reduce puffiness under my eyes and is also helping combat my lines and dark circles ( due to late night blogging aha! ). When I first place the product on my eyes it feels abnormally cold which I haven't experienced before but once you get past that Puff Off does such a great job and doesn't move under your makeup! Which is always a bonus.

4) I then apply the Loreal Infallible Mattifying Base Primer. I brought this a few weeks ago to try and I haven't turned back since! It feels so smooth on my face and keeps my makeup intact all day! Ive tried loads of there primers but none have had the same effect and durability as this one! Since I have combination skin this really works well for that and doesn't slide about on my T-Zone.

5) Once I've allowed my primer to settle for a few minutes I use my Rimmel Concelear to tackle under my eyes swell as adding a few swipes at the sides of my nose and chin. I know a lot of people do this process after applying foundation but I don personally feel that works for me and everyone should do what they feel works best for them.

6) Using my Real Techniques Sponge I apply my Loreal Infallible Mattifying Foundation across my face making sure all areas are even and covered. Loreal makes such great foundations and the smallest amount covers my entire face although the foundation is a full coverage it doesn't feel heavy on your skin.

7) Then I apply the rest of my makeup including a bright lipstick for a finishing touch!.
